Company/Organisation Profiles
TQCC is the market leader in NDT training, certification, and consulting in South East Europe. TQCC was first to introduce personnel certification (PCN/EN ISO 9712, SNT-TC-1A) in the Greek market in 1999 with the support of Lavender International NDT UK. The courses provided are: Visual Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array Testing, TOFD, Radiography Testing, Radiographic Interpretation, Computed Radiography, Eddy Current Testing, and Welding Inspector. The courses are accredited by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) and the Hellenic Society for Non-Destructive Testing (HSNT).
TQCC also acts as an expert consultant for the industry. TQCC offers Level 3 and/or consultancy services to many industry leaders such as METKA S.A., Corinth Pipeworks (CPW) S.A., Kleemann Hellas S.A., ElvalHalcor S.A., as well as the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project. Other important clients are Hellenic Petroleum S.A., Public Power Corporation Hellas (PPC) S.A., Aluminium of Greece, Hellenic Shipyards, Mistras Group, Mirtec S.A.
Innovative Products and Services
Other than NDT training, certification, and consultancy services, TQCC has developed a lab prototype of an innovative NDT device. SECURE (as in Sub-surface Eddy CURrent Equipment) uses next generation electromagnetic induction techniques to detect defects in both surface and subsurface inspection, and over coating or insulation, on all conductive materials, and in multi-layered structures.
Radiography and Ultrasonic Testing used to be the only two inspection methods able to detect small sub-surface defects. SECURE’s innovative and proprietary technique presents a third option, with unique features and advantages, changing the rules in the world of quality control.
Experience and Expertise
TQCC’s key expertise lies in Non-Destructive testing (especially Eddy Current Testing), Welding technology, and material science & technology of metals.
In 2009-2011 TQCC participated in FP7 project NIMO regarding condition monitoring of wind turbines, with companies and universities from UK, Portugal and Belgium. NIMO delivered an advanced system able to reliably evaluate the condition of critical structural components.
In 2017 TQCC won Phase 1 of the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument for project SECURE. In 2017 and 2018 SECURE received two Seals of Excellence for Phase 2. SECURE is a NDT device, capable of detecting small discontinuities in all conductive materials, even above paint or insulation, and in multi-layered structures. TQCC holds a patent for SECURE.
